choosing the forty under forty young protagonists for innovation and courage
Alessandra Quarta in the prestigious ranking of Fortune Italia, the Italian edition of the famous American magazine that celebrates ingenuity and perseverance every month, telling stories of entrepreneurs and companies with the aim of setting them as models.
In the October issue, the "40 under 40" ranking is dedicated to the world of wine: a formidable mosaic of stories of courage, perseverance, identity, pride, passion, innovation, entrepreneurial vision. The future of Italian wine is in excellent hands.
“It is through these values that we chose the 40 young under forty protagonists of Italian wine. All together they make up a fresh and perfectly focused photograph of the sector”, explains the magazine.
A staff of experts oversaw the selection of the forty profiles, coordinated by Federico De Cesare Viola director of Food&Wine Italia, who have chosen winemakers, export and marketing managers, Masters of Wine, sommeliers, communicators, influencers and digital entrepreneurs throughout the boot.
Alessandra Quarta collaborates, as vice president and brand manager, with her father Claudio in the management of the three cellars "Claudio Quarta Vignaiolo", Moros and Tenute Eméra in Puglia (Guagnano and Lizzano) and Cantina Sanpaolo in Irpinia.
These are the words of Fortune Italia to describe Alessandra Quarta: "It seems that from her father Claudio - a researcher and manager in the field of biotechnology who chose life in the vineyard in 2005 - Alessandra Quarta has inherited so much love for studying and training as much as the passion for the wines of the South". Raised in Como and educated between Philadelphia and Buenos Aires, she finished her studies at Bocconi and envisioned a career in the international cooperation and development sector. But without taking into account the charm of Puglia in the summer and the deep gratifications that work in the cellar, sooner or later, returns.
At the age of 24 she chooses to enter the management of the three family estates: Cantina Sanpaolo, Tenute Eméra and Cantina Moros, located between Campania and Puglia. She observes and explores each phase of the production cycle to then conceive a wine that reconciles the expression of the territory - that of Marina di Lizzano, a short distance from Taranto - with the principles of sustainability and attention to social issues. In fact, by purchasing your Qu.Ale Salento Rosso Igp you are helping to preserve the natural area of the Salina dei Monaci in Manduria and some other non-profit organizations to which part of the revenues are donated ”.
